South Kensington's South Square Featured in Curbed Philly

It's been a great year for AGA Developers and Philadelphia's real estate and development sector as a whole. With home prices on the rise and 30-plus high-rises currently under construction, Philly has seen a complete turn-around of several neighborhoods, including South Kensington.

Curbed Philly talked to real estate and development experts to find out why neighborhoods like South Kensington are becoming more popular. Historically, the neighborhood has been mostly industrial, so today developers are buying up old warehouses and vacant lots for loft conversions and new buildings.

AGA Developers New Construction Moves Forward in South Kensington

One of the developers to move into Kensington is AGA Developers. With Phase 1 and 2 under construction, South Square will feature a new 19-townhouse development with roof deck, gated driveway and private parking spaces, and many other amenities.

And with new businesses, co-working spaces, and restaurants popping up everywhere, South Kensington has become a small village within Philadelphia. Everyone from millennials and empty nesters from the Main Line are drawn to the neighborhood. South Kensington has become the affordable alternative to places like Rittenhouse and Society Hill and even Fishtown.
